Priscilla Pointer (1924–2025) had a career spanning more than six decades across theater, film, and television. She appeared in iconic films such as Carrie (1976), Blue Velvet (1986), and Mommie Dearest (1981), and had recurring television roles including Rebecca Barnes Wentworth on Dallas. In A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), Pointer delivered a memorable performance as the hospital psychiatrist Dr. Elizabeth Simms. She was the mother of actress Amy Irving and passed away at age 100, leaving a legacy as a versatile and enduring character actress.
