Originally released in 1982 and in 3D, Friday the 13th Part 3 is the first film to feature Jason Voorhees wearing his signature hockey mask, a trademark for the franchise and an iconic image in horror cinema. Waxwork Records incorporated the lost deleted final scene of the film into the inner gatefold illustration. This deleted scene depicted an unmasked Jason Voorhees beheading the final girl, which was deemed too graphic and cut from the movie. The vinyl also includes the famous disco theme from the opening credits.
