Tom Savini is widely regarded as one of the most influential Special Makeup Effects Artists in film history. Nicknamed the “Godfather of Gore,” his innovative practical effects changed the horror genre forever. His credits include Dawn of the Dead, Friday the 13th, Maniac, The Burning, Day of the Dead, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Creepshow, and From Dusk Till Dawn. Beyond his effects work, he has also built an accomplished career as an Actor and Director, including directing the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead. Savini portrayed The Creep for the 2019 Creepshow Television Series on Shudder, bringing the franchise’s iconic horror host to life for a new generation of fans.
