Chris Fehn, also known as #3, was a pivotal member of the legendary metal band Slipknot for over 20 years. Joining the group in 1998, Chris brought unmatched energy to Slipknot’s chaotic live performances as a percussionist and backup vocalist. His signature Pinocchio-style mask, wild stage presence, and mastery of complex rhythms made him an integral part of the band’s identity. Hailing from Des Moines, Iowa, Chris contributed to some of Slipknot’s most iconic albums, including their self-titled debut (1999), Iowa (2001), Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses (2004), All Hope is Gone (2008), and .5: The Gray Chapter (2014). His performances helped shape the sound of tracks that redefined the metal genre, combining raw aggression with intricate percussion. Since retiring from touring, Chris has remained a revered figure in the world of heavy metal, recognized for his contributions to one of the greatest metal bands of all time. Whether pounding away on stage or engaging with the Maggots (Slipknot’s loyal fanbase), Chris Fehn’s influence continues to resonate in the metal world.
