For your consideration is the incredibly rare “Oscar The Grouch” rolling Prop Garbage Can Toy Chest that was Hand Signed by the late great Puppeteer/Cartoonist Caroll Spinney during one of his last appearances. Comes Certified by Beckett Authentication Services. This rarity literally stopped the entire comic con that was hosting a Sesame Street Reunion. Mr. Spinney’s family had never seen this Toy Chest ever and took photos so they can get one. Made by the American Toy company in 1982. Very sturdy and functions well. Measures about 18” tall, 18” length and 16 wide. Condition is good for being over 40 years old. There is some bumps in bruises but are hard to see until very close up.
According to the Muppet wiki site in regards to this rarity. Sesame Street toy chest……. In 1982, American Toy made a Sesame Street toy chest in the form of Oscar’s trash can. The top and sides of the chest were illustrated to look like the battered can, with pieces of trash spilling out, and a sign that tells visitors to “GO AWAY”. There’s a picture of Oscar the Grouch on the inside of the lid, and Oscar’s pet worm, Slimey, can be seen on the outside of the can.
